Glen Johnson made a superb debut for Liverpool during the 2-1 loss against Tottenham Hotspur, and followed it up with a stellar performance against Stoke City in their 4-0 victory. Presently, the Reds' captain has hailed the full-back for his good showings in a red jersey. "We saw what Glen will offer this team with the run that won the penalty at Spurs," Gerrard is quoted in FIFA.com as saying. "He cut inside and left people for dead. "He showed similar form against Stoke and was outstanding on the right for us." The 24-year-old signed for the Merseyside club after a bid of around £18 million was agreed with Portsmouth earlier in the summer.
